#Ride4SCI

It all started in 2015, when Christin came to Orlando- ALL the way from South Africa- to intern at NextStep! She came with a passion for physical recovery especially within the spinal cord injury and neurological disorders population. Helping others is in her nature. Christin quickly became a client favorite, forming meaningful friendships with a few. She would even meet her future husband through a client during her 3 month internship at NextStep Orlando!

When Christin’s internship with us came to an end, she set off to Australia to gain more experience in her field but luckily was able to come back to the states and accept an Activity Based Trainer (ABT) position on our team in 2016! Clients new and old welcomed Christin and loved the positive energy, knowledge and compassion she brought to the gym. And can’t forget her super cool accident… plus all the funny words and phrases like “Oh my hat!”, “Yirry” and “holding thumbs” (it means fingers crossed)

In 2019, Christin retired her position as ABT and became our Activity Based Training Consultant. While consulting from the road (or trails) Christin has lived in and driven (with her husband) a van from Florida to Alaska, hiked by foot entirely around Lake Tahoe and NOW is cycling from Seattle to San Diego along the Pacific Coast Highway.

Being the incredible human that she is, Christin saw this as an opportunity to create a virtual fundraiser for NextStep Orlando! We are asking our followers/ supporters to donate $1 per mile that Christin cycles daily! She is currently on Day 10 and has totalled almost 200 miles already!!! Follow along with us & Christin as she makes her way down the PCH! #Ride4SCI

Check Facebook & our Instagram Stories daily to see how many miles Christin cycles and to donate.

P.S. The amounts are just suggestion, you can give as little or as much as you’d like! Here’s the link to donate:: https://www.nextstepfitness.org/donate-now
