Joe Van Oeveren
Board Member since 2013
Joe graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's degree in Economics, after attending Rockhurst High School. He worked as a manager for a commercial cleaning company, until partnering with his father in 2009 to run Financial Resources of Kansas City, an employee benefit firm.

Nick Worth is the Operations Director and CFO of Worth Harley-Davidson, one of the highest volume and most successful Harley-Davidson dealerships in the world. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, he received his degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. Nick provides a rare combination of youth and expertise to an aging industry as he continues to make Worth one of the most recognizable names in the motorcycle industry. He is a motorcycle enthusiast and loves to spend his time watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals with his wife, Valerie and two German Shepherds.

Caleb Anderson is Vice President of Ambulatory and Revenue Cycle at Cerner Corporation, the world-wide leader in health care information technology. In this role, Mr. Anderson has responsibility and oversight of client relationships, business development and market facing initiatives that impact cross-continuum financial reimbursement and clinical efficiencies and patient care in non-acute settings. Featured in industry publications and blogs, Caleb has become a key spokesperson on trending issues related to the future state of ambulatory care and revenue cycle. Caleb is the graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics. He resides in Kansas City with his wife and twin daughters.

Susan Baier has a bachelor's degree in Social Psychology from Park University in Parkville, Missouri. She is a native of Kansas City, Missouri. Susan is employed by Children's Mercy Hospital for nearly 14 years, eight of those as a Patient Advocate. Her passions include spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and raising awareness for spinal cord injury recovery.
Dr. Wilson Ray
Board Member since 2017
Dr. Ray is fellowship-trained in both peripheral nerve and spinal oncology. He is the co-director of the Center for Spinal Cord Injury and is the principal investigator of multiple clinical trials on acute spinal cord injury and cervical myelopathy. Click for full bio

Fundraising Chair Board Member since 2019
Krystal is currently the Development Director for Girls on the Run Serving Kansas City. In her two years on staff, she has increased the organization’s contributed income from 20% to more than 50% and brought the annual operating budget from $800,000 to more than $1 million. Prior to joining Girls on the Run, Krystal was a Vice President of Pennington & Company, a fundraising and consulting firm, where she served as lead counsel to the executive director and lead major gift officer for two international fraternity foundations as one developed a major gift program and one completed a $5 million leadership and scholarship endowment campaign. Additionally she conducted eight pre-campaign feasibility studies and directed four local fraternity housing campaigns raising more than $4.5 million combined.
Krystal received a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Missouri State University and Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. She currently resides in Brookside with her husband, Drew, 11-month old son, James, and dog, Molly. She enjoys reading, traveling, and volunteering for Sigma Kappa Sorority as a national officer since 2010.
