Founded in June of 2008, NextStep is celebrating it’s five year anniversary and the organizations expansion to NY. NextStep and Stony Brook University announced a partnership that will bring the only fitness and wellness facility whose primary focus is on people with paralysis in NY State. NextStep, a nationally recognized non-profit organization, provides the opportunity for life-long health and recovery for people living with paralysis and mobility impairments in communities nationwide.Today most of these individuals are deprived of the resources they desperately need to live long, healthy, and happy lives because there are no affordable or local options available to them. NextStep’s goal is to open NextStep Fitness facilities across the country to ensure an improved quality-of-life for this underserved population. What could be more gratifying than to ensure that year after year, each person and wounded warrior in your community living withStroke, SCI, MS, CP, TBI, Parkinsons, other neurological and mobility impairments, has local access to the very best in ongoing rehabilitation, fitness, health and wellness.A donation to NextStep is not only an investment in your community; it’s an insurance policy for your own children, family and loved ones. Ensuring that the best care and services are available locally in the future should your own need arise.
On Wednesday, June 19th, NextStep presents its 5th Annual “Help Make a Difference” Benefit, in New York City. You will enjoy delicious food by Mary Giuliani Catering, cocktails, and a live auction. The goal of the benefit it to raise funds to allow NextStep to expand to new communities and to help launch our campaign to build a NextStep Fitness facility at Stony Brook University.
