Our Professional Training and Education

At NextStep, we take pride in the education and experience of our training staff. It is something that sets us apart from other fitness centers. We strive to provide ongoing continuing education that is relevant, pertinent, and most importantly, beneficial to our clients.

Our staff participates in bi-weekly video conference calls with NRN administrators and community fitness and wellness centers. The calls allow us to share and receive valuable information on activity-based training techniques and ensure we are meeting NRN training standards. We also host an annual NRN site visit during which the top NRN administrators come to our facility for 2-3 days at a time. This comprehensive evaluative visit ensures that our operations and client services meet NRN standards as well as provides our staff with the latest research information. It is also an opportunity for our staff to work side by side with the NRN’s most experienced Activity-based Technicians, gaining invaluable hands-on and real world experience. Keeping in line with our belief in the importance of being informed of new research developments and findings, we provide our training staff access to the top national and international researchers and work to maintain professional relationships with our local research universities. Similarly, we regularly participate in professional conferences and symposiums to ensure our knowledge of rehabilitation and fitness trends. In our opinion, there is no such thing as too much information when it comes to our clients’ best interest.
